I wanna tell you something that changed my life. I was at my heaviest I have ever been in my life.
I was depressed. I was always upset. I was moody. I was cranky. I was having all sorts of health problems until I had a big long talk with myself and I told dr ward this " I either had the choice to die young. Or get up and do something about it. No more will I be upset bout something I can change."
So, with that I asked Robert if I could join his gym. I needed an outlet. I gave up coke. I have given up dr pepper and sweets.
I got into the gym. I seriously bout passed out the first time I got an elliptical. I was sweating. I was huffing and puffing that's only the first 30 seconds. No lie.
So, I think it took me a month just to build up 5 minutes without passing out after. I went to the dr's today and he was seriously impressed. He told me to write down my story to share with his younger patients.
I am here to tell you that you can do it. Please, please do not believe the lies that surround you. You do not have to be stick thin to be healthy.
I am fine with where I am why, because it's muscle. I am still nowhere near the weight limit I wanna be but, I'm not going to starve myself. I'm not going to pop pills nor am I going to drink shakes.
Yes, the weight will fall off faster but is it really healthy for you? You know once you stop it. You will gain it back and then some trust me, been there done that mess.
So, back to the story you need to know this, I will always have an irregular heartbeat. I will always have that on me but it will no longer limit me. It will no longer hold me back from achieving the goals in my life. I still can't run. But, that's not going to stop me from being on the elliptical.
I want you to know that yes, I still have a belly but, it's my ab muscles underneath pushing my belly forward. I have incredibly strong legs. I am getting stronger with my back and I'm getting my flexibility back.
I can do a backbend. I can do the splits. I can kick my legs back up over my head. I can pick myself up with my arms. I'm not weak. I am strong.
If you think you are to old, to young, I beg you to think again. I urge you to walk up to 15 minutes a day and work your way up to 30 then go 5 minutes more every time you walk up to an hour a day.
This alone will push you to be better, faster and stronger. I want you to know that life doesn't own you. You own it.
So, I encourage you today to make the change to have a better you for not only today but for the future.
I hope you are encouraged. And remember if you feel like giving up keep going! Do NOT let your past dictate your future. You got this now Go!
